Musical devices have been thrown on a bonfire in Afghanistan, as the Taliban declares tunes to be immoral.

Shots have emerged from Afghanistan of musical devices getting set on fire by the Taliban as a spokesperson for the ruling govt describes audio as ‘immoral’.

A single photo demonstrating 4 adult men viewing a significant pile of instruments engulfed by flames was launched to the push by the Ministry for the Propagation of Advantage and the Prevention of Vice on Sunday and was reportedly taken in Herat, Afghanistan’s third most significant town.

The Ministry also posted images of a pile of musical devices on fire on 19 July, but it is unclear whether or not this is the same fire that took area in Herat.

This is not the first time devices have been established on fire in Afghanistan. In early 2022, an undated video went viral of musical devices staying burned in front of their proprietor.
