Quality Hallmark’s Time-Traveling Spouse and children Drama
Hallmark Channel’s new loved ones drama The Way Home follows three generations of mothers and daughters with complex relationships… and a relationship to a time-traveling portal?
Sunday’s premiere starts with a scene from Port Haven, New Brunswick, circa 1814, throughout which a mob of adult males operate just after a younger female whom they imagine is a witch. Just before they can capture her, the lady suggests something mysterious and jumps into a smaller overall body of drinking water.

Cut to existing working day Minneapolis, exactly where Kat (performed by Supergirl‘s Chyler Leigh) and her ex-spouse Brady (Very Difficult Scenarios‘ Al Mukadam) are having difficulties with their rebelling teenage daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow), who pulls the hearth alarm at a college expertise demonstrate, then throws a bash at her personal property. But as she reaches for it, Alice falls into the water… and is pulled out by her teenage mom (I Am Frankie‘s Alex Hook) in 1999!
In this timeline, Kat is nevertheless mates with Elliot and has just gotten a summer season camp job, the place she will satisfy her long run spouse and Alice’s father. The household dynamic is also fully different, as Alice learns when she has a heat and happy dinner with Kat, Del, Kat’s father Colton (When Hope Simply call‘s Jefferson Brown) and her small brother Jasper.
Following evening meal, Alice finds teenage Elliot (David Webster) and tells him that he once mentioned she could arrive to him for support. Back in the current, Kat finds a Polaroid that Jasper took during that 1999 meal of her and an indistinguishable Alice. Meanwhile, Elliot reassures a worried Kat, who has no concept the place Alice ran off to, that her daughter will come across her way household. As the episode will come to a near, Elliot waits by the pond.
