Daniel Craig, Barbara Broccoli, Paul Greengrass Guide Amusement Market Figures Honored by the Queen
Some of the U.K. leisure industry’s finest-recognised names have been awarded the country’s best honors by the Queen.
Outgoing James Bond star Daniel Craig was honored along with longtime Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson (pictured earlier mentioned with Craig) on the Queen’s New Calendar year Honours list.

Craig, who life in the U.S., was honored on the ‘overseas and global list’ creating him a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG) — the incredibly same honor the fictional 007 retains in the books. Craig was awarded his CMG for products and services to film and theater.

Lumley obtained hers for solutions to drama, amusement and charitable triggers when Redgrave been given hers for products and services to drama. The women will now be recognised in the U.K. as Dame Joanna Lumley and Dame Vanessa Redgrave.
Meanwhile “Excalibur” director John Boorman, “Pressure” director Horace Ové and Sadler’s Wells Theatre inventive director and main executive Alistair Spalding all obtained knighthoods, for products and services to film, media and dance, respectively. They will now be styled Sir John Boorman, Sir Horace Ové and Sir Alistair Spalding.
These who had been honored with an Get of the British Empire (OBE) in this year’s honors involved singer and actor Pauline Black for products and services to amusement, theatrical output and costume designer Leslie Brotherston for providers to dance and theater ITV Studios’ director of generation Sally Debonnaire for products and services to television and voluntary providers to capabilities by ScreenSkills actor Nitin Ganatra (“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”) for solutions to drama and “Coronation Street” actor Bill Roache for solutions to drama and charity.
Also awarded OBEs were being Pinewood Group’s director of company affairs Andrew Smith for expert services to company and to the British movie industry, and Greg Childs, editorial director of The Children’s Media Convention, for services to international trade and children’s media.
Tv presenters Kate Garroway and Margherita Taylor ended up equally awarded MBEs (Customers of the Order of the British Empire) for services to broadcasting and, in Taylor’s circumstance, also for solutions to range.
Recipients of CBEs, OBEs and MBEs are entitled to use the letters following their names.
